Discounts & extra articles
Benefits for roles and individual people: reduce or waive fees and grant additional articles.
Anyone who sells cake for six hours on bazaar day should pay less and be allowed to list more. That is exactly what you set up under Discounts & extra articles – reachable from Manage bazaar in the Preparation phase.
There are two kinds of benefit:
- Discounts reduce a fee.
- Extra articles raise an article limit.
Both apply either to a role (all helpers) or to an individual person.
Adding a discount
- Under Discounts, tap Discount.
- Choose the fee to be reduced – e.g. Participation fee, Commission, Per article or Tiered fee.
- Choose the discount type:
- Percent – e.g. 50 % of the fee.
- Amount – a fixed deduction.
- Waived – the fee is dropped entirely.
- Under Applies to, decide whether the discount goes to a role or a person. You find people by name or email.
- Save – the status changes to Saved.
Granting extra articles
With extra articles someone may list more than the limit normally allows.
- Under Extra articles, tap Extra articles.
- Under Applies to limit, choose what the bonus refers to: the overall limit (maximum per seller) or a category group.
- Enter the number of extra articles (e.g. 10).
- Choose role or person.
Which benefit wins?
There is exactly one entry per fee and target. If you create a second one, the app reports “There is already an entry for that. Edit it instead of creating a second one.”
Changing and removing benefits
Tap an entry to edit it, or remove it.
What sellers see of this
Sellers see their benefits immediately in the fee summary on the bazaar page – a waived fee reads “waived”. So they don’t have to ask you whether the helper bonus has kicked in yet.
