Create a bazaar
Create a bazaar: the wizard guides you through key data, dates, fees, limits and publication.
You create a bazaar in a guided wizard. Open your organization and tap Create bazaar in the Bazaars list.
How the wizard works
- At the top you see your progress: “Step X of Y”.
- Your entries are saved automatically as a draft – the status at the top switches between Draft, Saving … and Saved.
- Optional steps can be skipped with Skip and completed later.
- You can leave the wizard at any time and continue editing the draft later.
Step 1: Key data (required)
The foundation of the bazaar – without these details it cannot be published.
- Title & description – the title (e.g. “Spring bazaar Ottensen”) and a description. Both appear on the public bazaar page.
- Date – the event date and start time.
- Venue – street & house number, postcode, town and optionally an addition (e.g. “gym · side entrance”). The app determines the position and shows a map preview.
- Capacity – maximum sellers and maximum articles in total (with − / +).
- Options – enable waiting list (when the bazaar is full) and allow helper registration (participants can sign up as helpers and receive benefits).
Step 2: Dates (required)
Set up the bazaar’s time slots. Tap Add date and choose the type of slot:
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Registration | The period in which sellers can register. |
| Fast lane | Early registration with a premium ticket. |
| Goods receipt | When the goods are handed in. |
| Sale | The bazaar day itself. |
| Special time / Other | Further time slots. |
Every slot has a start and an end (the end has to be after the start) plus an optional note.
Step 3: Fees (optional)
Define which fees the bazaar charges. Without fees, taking part is free of charge. Tap Add fee and choose the type:
| Fee | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Participation fee | A fixed amount for taking part. |
| Commission | A share of the revenue. |
| Per article | An amount per article. |
| Tiered fee | An amount per started tier size of articles (e.g. €5 per 25 articles → 26–50 articles cost €10). |
Under Applies to you choose the roles (sellers, helpers, core team, extended team). No selection = applies to all roles.
Step 4: Discounts (optional)
Grant discounts on a fee.
For each discount you choose the fee, the type (percentage, amount or waived) and the target: a role or an individual person (by email). That way you can reward helpers or make exceptions for individuals.
Step 5: Quantity limits (optional)
Limit the number of articles per category group and grant bonus articles.
- Category limits – combine categories into a group and set a maximum number of articles (e.g. “max. 30”).
- Bonus articles – grant a role or person additional articles (e.g. 10 extra articles for helpers).
Step 6: Prohibited articles (optional)
Block whatever may not be sold at this bazaar. Tap Add block and choose:
- Category – block an existing category.
- Free text – describe a type of article freely (e.g. “weapons and toy weapons”).
Sellers see these blocks on the bazaar page and cannot list such articles.
Step 7: Info page (optional)
Add your own information sections for the public bazaar page – e.g. parking, liability or labelling rules. Every section has a title and content, can be shown/hidden and moved up/down.
Step 8: Review & publish
Finally you review all the details. The app shows you what is still missing – “To do before publishing”:
- The bazaar title is missing
- The event date is missing
- At least one registration slot is missing
- At least one sale slot is missing
Once everything is complete, tap Publish bazaar. You will then see “Bazaar published” – your bazaar is publicly visible and sellers can register.
And then?
From here on everything runs through the Manage bazaar cockpit: deciding registrations, setting up tills, receiving goods, settling up. See Managing a bazaar.
