Selling at the till

The MukiBasar till: scan labels, take payment, cancel sales and keep working offline when the wi-fi gives up.

The till is where the bazaar actually happens – which is why it is built to keep running even when the gym’s wi-fi gives up.

Opening the till

You need to be authorized as a till operator (see Setting up tills). Open the bazaar and pick your till place under Open till.

While downloading, the till shows “Loading articles for offline use …”. When it is done it says “Offline ready — all articles loaded.”

Recording a sale

  1. Scan the label – hold the article’s QR code in front of the camera or pull it in with the handheld scanner. The article lands in the cart.
  2. Scan the customer’s other articles as well.
  3. Tap Check out.
  4. Enter the amount handed over under Given – the till works out the change. If it is exact, tap Exact.
  5. Complete sale – done, you see “Sale recorded”.

If a label will not scan, set the input method to Manual and type the article number.

Cancelling

There are two ways back:

Refunding individual articles

Set the mode to Cancel. Scan the sold articles that are being returned, check the refund and tap Complete cancellation. The articles are sellable again afterwards.

Voiding a whole receipt

Open Receipts, pick the receipt and tap Void receipt. After confirming it is marked Voided and all its articles are sellable again.

Working offline

At the top the till always shows Online or Offline. Tap it to open the sync status:

  • “All receipts have been submitted.” – everything is fine.
  • “… receipts waiting to be submitted” – the till is working offline. Sync now pushes them through once you are back online.

This till’s figures

Under This till you see live revenue, customers and articles sold – handy for cashing up at the end of the day.
